Magazine Cover
This is one of two covers created for flux, featuring the VICE article "Men Are Scared to Sit in Classrooms with Women, and Women Are Mad About Lipstick Wearing Journalists," written by Sarah Ratchford, which I have retitled "Feminists Don't Wear Lipstick." Throughout the cover and the spreads, I chose to use the colour red in order to express the author's passion and the frustrated tone of the article.

Opening Spread
For the first page of the article I have applied an effect that imitates the smudging of lipstick to further emphasize the article's title. I have also included a variety of symbols that are often used to replace the letters in written profanity.

Middle Spread
Each pull quote is uniquely illustrated through the use of typographic symbols in reference to the female body.

Final Spread
The last page uses symbols to replace characters,  referencing the opening spread, to make the article cohesive.
